New cosmetics products launches Mac, NARS, Sleek, Makeup Revolution, Bare Minerals

New Cosmetic Brand Launches

A new affordable brand of make-up will be hitting the high street soon, in the form of Makeup Revolution. Comparable to the likes of brands such as MUA and Sleek, with the quality of products belaying their tiny price tags, Makeup Revolution offers a comprehensive range of over 300 products, covering all aspects of the face, prices start (almost unbelievably) from as little as £1.

Available online, the products will be available from http://www.superdrug.com from 9th April, and will be stocked in-store later in the summer.

Chiselled cheeks from NARS

NARS introduces the ultimate make-up essential for perfectly defined cheekbones in the form of their new Contour Blushes (£30). Not blusher as you’d know it, but rather a duo that features a deeper shade to enhance definition and a lighter shade to illuminate the highpoints of the face. Perfectly formed, the duo has more of the contour product, a great idea from NARS as most MUAs tend to use more of this on the face than highlighter in general. Available in three colourways to suit all skintones, apply the deeper shade to the hollows of the cheek and along the hairline, then sweep the light shade across the cheekbone toward the temple to soften and highlight. We love Olympia, an Ivory/Rose shade. Lightweight and smooth, the formula creates the most beautiful visual depth and dimension in a single swipe. It’s available from Selfridges in an exclusive preview from 1st April, and nationwide at http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk from 15th April.

MAC announces Patentpolish Lip Pencils

Finally entering the lip pencil arena is MAC, with its new Patentpolish Lip Pencils ($20). A round-tipped twist-up lip pencil keeps things tidy and super simple to apply the bright and glossy colours. The Pencils come in 12 shades, ranging from Innocent (natural nude-beige) to Sultana, a vampy dark grape. The unique blend of creamy emollients keeps lips soft with the smooth, rich texture, without being sticky or heavy. Available from the 3rd April in the States, we’re hoping for a UK release soon. Watch this space.

Brush up with Sleek Eyebrow Stylist

The new Eyebrow Stylist from Sleek (£5.99) makes creating the perfect eyebrow a simple and quick two-step process. The double-ended product contains a twist-up pencil to fill in sparse areas, and handy spoolie end to sculpt the brow into the desired shape. The slanted tip of the pencil allows for both precision and quick, broader strokes. The matte, creamy formula applies easily, without tugging at the skin or being too waxy. Available now in three shades: Light, Medium and Dark from Boots and Superdrug.

bareMinerals evolve Prime Time

This month sees the launch of bareMinerals Prime Time BB Primer Cream Daily Defence SPF 30 (£23). Available in two shades from April (Light/Medium) and two more arriving in September (Fair/Tan), the brand has taken its best-selling Prime Time Primer and adjusted the formula to provide new benefits. By introducing a triple-action, all-in-one tinted formula, the primer diminishes the appearance of any discolouration or imperfections, while also providing sun protection and an award-winning primed base.

Hydrating Lip Balms join the Tint club at Benefit

Benefit has added another formula to its ever-popular range of lip and cheek products, beginning with the iconic Benetint. The new Hydrating Tinted Lip Balms (£14.50) are available in four colours, to match the corresponding lip and cheek tint (£24.50) – Benebalm (rose hue), Lolibalm (candy-orchid), Chachabalm (mango hue) and Posiebalm (poppy pink). Smoothing and conditioning with rich mango butter, the balms provide a hit of moisture which delivering a hint of colour.

Behind the scene -Talking romance back to nature photo shoot of 2013 bridal collection

Talking romance back to nature photo-shoot.

The location was just amazing and after months of waiting for the right weather the forecast finally moved in our favour with sunshine promised for a few days.
We were able all to travel to the forest of Surrey to have our romantic photo-shoot.
Wallis in love bridal collection by designer Sanyukta Shrestha was inspired by Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor.
With a collection inspired by the life and style of Wallis Simpson and Prince Edward, former King of England share the unique love story in the history when Edward give up the throne to be with the woman he love .
This collection was dedicate to Wallis, such independent and free spirited woman, we decide to show the pieces in natural wilderness with hint of 1930.

Makeup and hair also was inspired by glamorous 1930 style and I have decide on the red lipstick to just give a bit more power to the look as well.
We all get to the studio for preparation with hair and makeup as is very difficult sometime to get all done on the location and the weather is very unpredictable as well.
We were all happy with the look that I created and went towards the location that wasn’t very far away.
Here are some of the images from the day.
A special thanks must go for the our wonderful horse model Daisy that I must admit was a perfect and very professional and lovely to be working with, only showing slight impatience at the beginning due to long hours of standing.
She co-operated perfectly with beautiful model Laura and help make the day much easy for all.
Massive thanks to the photographer Ben Lee that capture all the moment and made amazing Images.

Roksanda Ilincic for Triumph’s Woman in Making campaign

What a great pleasure when photographer ask me if i wanted to involve as a makeup and hair artist for Triumph’s Woman in making campaign for Fashion Designer Roksanda Ilincic.

The campaign, titled ‘Supporting Women in Making’, has seen Triumph reach out to a number of women (dubbed ‘makers’) across a variety of creative disciplines in a celebration of true feminine craftsmanship and expertise. The roster of female ambassadors is impressive – sassy, retro pop siren Paloma Faith, celebrity chef Gizzi Erskine, stylist Grace Woodward and designer Roksanda Ilincic
Triumph is taking its supportive role of women quite literally this season. The historic lingerie house has launched a campaign to back female creatives looking to break into business.

Was a very long day shooting in studio and making video in the same time is a challenge for producers ,photographer and art director , but with great talented people every job is much easier.

Here is the final images from the photographic shoot in Stylist Magazine

Best Mascaras review 2013

Mascaras

As a makeup artist people always asking me what is the best mascara to use ?

The make-up equivalent of your morning coffee, great mascaras have an ingenious way of making you look instantly more awake and refreshed especially when you don’t apply makeup and have no time for all that morning makeup routine.

How important is to find a easy and clump free mascara ,smudge free and not too heavy for your lushes.
Mascara bush is very important when you choose mascara for your lushes.

Powerful enough to defy the trends and the most popular of all make-up products, you need to find one you can really rely on.
With years of makeup for all my clients, editorials, beauty here is mascara that I think is the best easy to apply and for every pocket.

My favourite Mascaras:

Sisley mascara so intense

This is my favourite mascara of all.
All the goodness in their formulation suits this brush down to the ground and that’s clearly why they selected it in favour of something more traditional. One of it’s special talents is ‘grabbing’ the bottom lashes with no mess or fuss. Very impressive indeed. In typical fashion, the first time I put wand to lash, so transfixed was I by smooth gliding and coating action, I highly recommend.
Especially if you don’t have much lashes and you want to add volume and clump free.

Chanel

With subtle results and even coverage, this is perfect for daytime.
Sublime de Chanel Infinite Length and Curl Mascara. £25; available at http://www.selfridges.com.

L’Oréal Paris

This mascara has a formula specially designed to complement blue eyes – but on top of that it’s great at lengthening and fanning lashes.

L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Luminizer – Blue Eyes. £9.35; available at http://www.boots.com

Max Factor

It’s all in the iFX brush, which allows precise application and evenly coated lashes.

Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara. £7.99; available at http://www.boots.com.

Lancôme

All the volume, none of the clumps. If you want a dramatic look, this is the one.

Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara. £22; available at http://www.lancome.co.uk.

Dior show blackout mascara :

Despite the dramatic sounding name, this is a really buildable formula that allows you to apply one coat for feathery but defined daytime lashes or three to four coats for a darker, more dramatic voluminous finish.
The full-fat brush is tapered at one end making it easy to define bottom lashes and smaller ones at the inner corners too for a wide-eyed finish.

Happy shopping

How to wear modern monochrome look !!!

I had a chance to be working and create a look for Wallis collection and their new monochrome designers look for this season.
Was many changes and makeup and hair for day time was more simple and natural and progresses bit stronger on the eyes and wavy soft hair for night time look.

My makeup on the model was fresh glowing skin and smokey black eyes.
No eyeshadow where apply on the sockets line. I just kept very clean and matte with translucent powder.

I kept the lips very nude and main focus was on the eyes more in between the lash line with black eye pencil follow by liner , but very bold without any side flicks. This look is very much more effective when is filmed in black and white.

Here is the video from the day.

Hope you like it.
